Laura Callaghan
Education Officer

Introduction

Laura Callaghan is an Education Officer in the Department of Curriculum Studies at the IIS. Her work focuses on developing educational materials, primarily teachers’ guides and supporting resources, for the Institute’s secondary curriculum.

Laura holds an MA in Classical Civilisation from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BA (Hons.) in Ancient History and Egyptology from UCL. She is also a qualified teacher, having gained a PGCE in Citizenship from the Institute of Education, and has taught Humanities, Religious Education and English at secondary level. In addition to her teaching background, Laura has a broad experience of working within the education and charity sectors, from overseeing educational outreach projects to developing communications and social media strategies.
