Dr. Shayesteh Ghofrani


Shayesteh Ghofrani (GPISH class of 2006) from Iran obtained her BSc degree from the Amirinfo-icon Kabir University in Tehran in Engineering. She received a Masters in Continental Philosophy from the University of Warwick. After completing the GPISH course, she conducted field research in Iran for the Department of Community Relations at the IIS. Shayesteh is now studying towards a PhD in Conceptual History and Study of Religion at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter. Her thesis is entitled "Shi'i-Sufi Appropriation: Historical and Conceptual Development of a Shared World-View" under the supervision of Professor Robert Gleave and Dr Sajjad Rizvi.
