The IIS aims to ensure a high-quality, stimulating learning environment through a commitment to excellence; provision of state-of-the-art educational facilities; a reflective, well-designed curriculum; and the enhancement of teaching in order to support the aspirations of our students and meet the needs of the communities it serves.
Key quality assurance processes are managed by the IIS's Quality Assurance and Evaluation Unit. The Unit supports arrangements with the Institute’s academic partners and ensures that the IIS is benchmarked against external best practices in higher education.
As a provider of higher education, the IIS is monitored by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), receiving its first visit in 2012. Following annual monitoring visits in 2013 and then in 2017 the IIS received two commendable outcomes. The IIS complies with the regulatory framework of the Office for Students (OfS), the independent regulator of higher education in England.
