Ms KH25, vol.2, folio 131b
This manuscript reveals eight lines of an Arabic prayer with a Sindhi commentary, attributed to Prophet Sulayman. There is no distinction between prose and poetry, and the continuous writing suggests a commercial type of manuscript called khata (‘ledger’). It is interesting to note that the page is entirely filled with writing and there appear to be no margins; they were perhaps shaved off when the manuscript was rebound and laminated. There is a small design to indicate the end of the text.
