Ms KH81, p. 41
Copied in Samvat 1951/1894 CE.
This manuscript offers good illustration of Khojki copyists’ use of the punctuation mark ‘ : ’ to distinguish between different words (see right for an example).
From Punjab and copied on dark brown European woven paper, its watermarks read ‘Bally Paper Mills co: Ltd.’. The manuscript is 306 pages long, with 16-18 lines of text per page, and contains a long ginan entitled Satveni Moti, attributed to Sayyid Nur Muhammad Shah (d. 1533 CE). This particular page describes the virtues of the Prophet’s daughter, Fatima.
