Wassim Wagdy is a Language Coordinator at the IIS. He oversees the teaching of Arabic on the GPISH programme. He ensures that teaching content and methods help to achieve the learning objectives of the programme, and works on adopting new teaching techniques and improving learners’ experience. He also oversees exams.

Wassim has more than 20 years of experience in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. He has worked at the University of Exeter, SOAS and the University of Westminster, as well as the Institute of Linguists and a number of UN agencies in a freelance capacity.

Wassim holds an MA in English-Arabic Translation from the University of Westminster and an MA in Arabic Literature from SOAS.
