Maha Yaziji is Education Officer in the Constituency Studies Unit (CSU). She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from Goldsmiths College, London and a BA in English Literature from Al-Baath University in Homs, Syria. She also completed the Graduate Programme in Islamic Studies and Humanities (GPISH) at the Institute of Ismaili Studies.

She has worked previously with the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES) in Syria and Tajikistan. She also contributed to the two published volumes Interpretations of Law and Ethics in Muslim Contexts and Cities as Built and Lived Environments: Scholarship from Muslim Context. In her current role at IIS, she conducts research and develops academic and educational resources on salient issues impacting the Ismaili communities on matters related to their religious, social and cultural life. She also teaches on the IIS graduate programmes (GPISH & STEP).
