Dr Kacimi holds a PhD from the University of Alicante (Spain) on the Risala al-Jami’a attributed to the Ikhwan al-Safa’. Prior to that, he completed Masters degrees relating to Islamic studies at the Fath Institute in Damascus, at Jinan University (Lebanon), and at the University of Alicante. He is a member of the language and communication laboratory at the Medea University (Algeria), a member of the research project 'Autobiografía y cartografía como proyecciones identitarias en el islam clásico’, and he has participated in numerous international conferences. Dr Kacimi has taught at the University of Alicante, and since February 2017 he has been an Associate Professor at the University of Murcia (Spain). His research focuses on Muslim thought in the Middle Ages.
