Sarah Ismail joined The Institute of Ismaili Studies in 2009 and is currently the Communications and Resource Development Officer in the Department of Communications & Development. She is responsible for coordinating the global book launch programme, contributing towards the internal communications strategy, and overseeing the public tour programme and donor relations activities of the IIS.
Sarah has undertaken an internship in Collections Management at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Since 2014, Sarah has served as a Communications and Marketing Consultant for the Aga Khan Museum, with a primary focus on social media.
Sarah completed a BA in History at Royal Holloway, University of London in 2008. In 2011, she obtained an MA in History from Queen Mary, University of London, specialising in foreign influences on the design and decoration of eighteenth-century English homes.
