IIS Senior Research Associate Dr Reza Shah-Kazemi will give the keynote closing address at the Islam-Buddhism Eco- Dialogue (IBED) Conference on January 16th.
The theme of the conference is the “Application of Religion and Science to Ecology and Sustainability: Perspectives from Islam and Buddhism”. The event will run on the 15th-16th January and the inaugural keynote address will be given by the Dalai Lama.
IBED was established in March 2021 to create platforms for dialogue between Islam and Buddhism on safeguarding the planet for future generations.
Dr Shah-Kazemi will discuss “A Koranic View of Religion, Science and Ecology”.
