By championing excellence in research, The Institute of Ismaili Studies aims to play a key role in the study of Shiʿi Islam. We strive to grow our international partnerships and continue to increase the reach and impact of our research in this field. We seek to promote a better understanding of Shiʿi Islam and its history, thought and practices and how these relate to issues of modernity and contemporary manifestations of Shiʿi traditions in arenas as diverse as the arts and culture, politics, economics and law.
