Erum Hamid is the Primary Curriculum Officer in the Department of Curriculum Studies (DCS). She is responsible for supporting the upgrading of the primary curriculum materials through digital and print media. Erum is an alumna of
Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC), and King's College London, where she holds an MA in Muslim Cultures and an MA in Education, respectively. She has been working in academia for the past ten years in various professional roles: as a research consultant for the University of Toronto, and the University of British Columbia; as a teaching associate for the Aga Khan University, and as an education consultant on digital projects for the early years age-group.
In her voluntary capacity within the Ismaili community, she has served AKSWB, and AKEB, as a BAI headteacher, teacher training manager, editor and communications member. With experience in Early, Primary and Secondary years education, digital communication, and program development, Erum has been working towards making education a tangible experience for diverse audiences in formal and non-formal spaces.
