Joy Johnson joined the Institute of Ismaili Studies in 1990. She worked closely with the Associate Dean and with the Head of the Central Asia Project, organising conferences, workshops and other events. She is currently based in the Department of Curriculum Studies, providing administrative and project support to a wide range of programmes and activities.
Joy holds an MA in Modern History from Birkbeck College, University of London, and BA in Modern History. She enjoys spending her leisure time participating in voluntary work in her community. Her interests include reading a wide range of books, from history and philosophy to art, psychology and culture.
